re:collection captures the fight to reclaim ancestral remains from where they lie unceremoniously in limbo in South Africa’s National Museum. The film explores the historic roots of racism in science, the genocide of the San, and efforts to restore dignity and spiritual integrity to a marginalised community.

Through film, we trace the echoes of South Africa’s colonial past and its ongoing impact, uncovering the histories that continue to shape our present.
